Waltham, MA: Meadow Green Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a
respected short and long-term skilled nursing facility serving the
Waltham area, has, for the fourth year in a row, received a
deficiency-free rating from the Massachusetts Department of Public
Health. Evaluations are in the areas of medical care, environment,
dietary services, patient’s rights, and administration, and Meadow
Green received the highest marks in all areas.
David Bell, longtime
administrator of Meadow Green, credits his staff with this
continued level of excellence. “We are fortunate to have so many
long-term employees. They are extremely competent and caring and
it shows.”
The evaluation, which
takes place every 9-15 months, is managed by the Division of
Health Care Quality of the Massachusetts Department of Public
Health. Facilities similar to Meadow Green must meet federal
standards of care such as cleanliness of facilities, quality of
care, and sufficient staffing. The Division of Health Care Quality
performs assessments unannounced as well as investigating
complaints and serious incidents occurring within nursing homes.
Meadow Green has been
owned and operated by the Anthony Franchi Family for more than 30
years. “Our family is committed to maintaining a high level of
service to residents and families. Dave Bell and his staff make
sure that happens at Meadow Green and we are so appreciative of
their abilities and dedication”, says Anthony Franchi Jr.
Other facilities operated by the A. Franchi Family include The
Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood and Grove Manor
Estates in Braintree which has independent, assisted living and, a
specialized unit for the care of individuals with dementia and
other memory-related disorders.
The A. Franchi Family facilities have won several awards for their
care, including the Gold Seal by the Joint Commission on
Accreditation of Health Organizations.
