Waltham, MA - Meadow Green Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Waltham is the recipient of the coveted American Health Care Association’s 2010 Bronze National Quality Award. This prestigious honor puts Meadow Green in a very exclusive category for health care organizations. “We all worked very hard for this achievement and feel very proud to be recognized as a high quality facility that continually strives for the highest levels of quality care for their residents,” said David Bell, Meadow Green’s longtime Administrator.

The American Health Care Association (AHCA) has stringent requirements for awards and only offers awards in tiers of achievement, which can only be attained in graduated steps. Only 2 other Bronze awards were given in the Waltham geographical area for 2010!. “This award tier is very difficult to achieve and we understood that at the outset, but we believed our consistent commitment to quality care would shine through. With our many years of top level Mass DPH surveys and our ongoing efforts to keep strong focus on each individual resident and their specific needs, we made the commitment to enter the application process,” continued Mr. Bell.

Meadow Green’s achievement will be honored, along with the other Quality Award winners at the AHCA/NCAL Annual Convention held in San Diego on October 10 – 13, 2010. Mr. Bell, Meadow Green’s Administrator, will be attending the awards ceremony.

Mr. Bell stated that while they feel honored to be recognized by the AHCA, he and his directors are never satisfied with their current level of achievement and will continue to strive to learn about and implement new advances in equipment, technology and one-on-one treatment measures to ensure that every Meadow Green resident, whether short term or long term, gets the best care possible.
